If not, your traction on the road could be compromised. You’ll also want to have your tires inspected to ensure that the tread isn’t too worn down. This can also negatively impact your traction, which makes wet pavement even more difficult to handle
- Check wiper blades and fluid — You won’t have your wipers working poorly with heavy rain coming down. This can obstruct your view and make it more likely that a collision will occur. Replace your wiper blades and refill your wiper fluid as needed.
- Slow down — Even with all the boxes checked when it comes to vehicle maintenance, rain can still be dangerous for drivers. So be extra cautious and slow down when the rain gets heavy.

You’ll want to give them the distance they need. And when it comes to motorcycles, you’ll want to keep ample distance between your vehicle and theirs — at least two cars’ worth.
